Designed to cultivate heat in the body, this class offers an invigorating combination of fluid movement and deeper prolonged postures to align, strengthen, and promote flexibility in the body. Sequences involving sun salutations, back bending, arm balancing, and standing and seated postures are practiced. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. Starting my day with Akhu Yoga has rendered the most rewarding results. If you’re not a pro, it’s okay, neither am I. Akhu ensures that whatever level you’re on (beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc.,) you’re good!!! The practice is breath-based. So even if we are unable to get into a pose, we receive just as many benefits by staying connected and following our breath. You’re gonna learn a whole bunch too! Not only about yoga but about yourself as well. This is undoubtedly one of the best investments I've made in myself. If you want to change your life, and I mean really change your life, be it physically, emotionally, or spiritually, Akhu Yoga is truly the way to go! I hope to see you on the mat.
